Position: Backcountry Fishing Guide
Location: Teton Wilderness, Near Moran, Wyoming
Season: June 1 to September 15

We are seeking passionate individuals to join us as Backcountry Fishing Guides for our overnight and multi-day excursions.
Responsibilities:
- Guiding and Fishing Expertise:
- Lead clients on overnight and multi-day backcountry fishing trips in the Teton Wilderness.
- Share in-depth knowledge of local fisheries, fishing techniques, and the unique ecosystem with clients.
- Camp Setup and Tear Down:
- Assist in setting up and tearing down campsites in remote wilderness areas.
- Ensure proper Leave No Trace principles are followed during camp activities.
- Packing and Logistics:
- Pack and organize equipment, ensuring all necessary gear is available for each trip.
- Coordinate logistics for multi-day trips, including food, camping supplies, and fishing equipment.
- Client Care:
- Provide exceptional customer service and care to clients during backcountry trips.
- Address client needs and ensure a positive and enjoyable experience throughout the journey.
- Safety and Emergency Preparedness:
- Prioritize safety during all activities, including fishing, hiking, and camping.
- Be prepared to handle emergency situations and administer first aid as needed.
- Environmental Stewardship:
- Educate clients on responsible fishing practices and environmental conservation.
- Model and promote ethical and sustainable behavior in the wilderness.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain clear communication with clients, fellow guides, and support staff.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall client experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a fishing guide, particularly in backcountry or wilderness settings is preferred.
- Proficient in fly fishing techniques and knowledge of local fisheries.
- Wilderness first aid and CPR certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a team and contributing to camp setup, tear down, and logistics.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in outdoor and variable weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to carry and handle camping and fishing equipment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and extended overnight trips.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
